Opening Day!
We're starting the season today (weather permitting!) in Odessa, and heading north on the great roads in Lennox & Addington county. The B, C and D routes will take a refreshments break in Yarker (see the picture below of the once magnificent mill in Yarker), while the A route will stop in Tamworth at either the A1 Corner Restaurant or the Blue Door Bakery (it has an outdoor patio). All of the routes will return past our local cheese factory in Wilton established in 1867!

SUS Ride Organization in 2026 [DRAFT FOR DISCUSSION]
  • Riding Format
    • A and B Pace Groups These pace groups will generally ride in a single pace line. If the roads are particularly quiet in places, they will sometimes ride in a double or "social" pace line.
    • C and D Pace Groups These pace groups will generally ride in "loose groups", with regrouping from time to time at breaks. Sometimes there will be a faster group of C riders who ride in a pace line ahead of the rest of the C riders.
    • C and D Ride Leaders The C and D ride leaders may sometimes ride off in a loose group or paceline ahead of the other pace group participants. In this event, the other pace group participants should make sure that no participant is left riding on their own.
  • If No Ride Leader Available If no-one is available to be the ride leader for a particular pace group, the ride will still proceed. In this event, the participants should
    • agree on how they wish the group to ride (all together or in smaller groups),
    • make sure everyone knows the route,
    • establish meeting or rest points along the route, if desired, and
    • most importantly, ensure that no participant is left riding on their own.

Yarker! Click here to read about them. Yarker wasn't always Yarker?

Car Pooling Please consider!

Post Ride Refreshments After the ride, we'll head into the always welcoming Jiffy Grill on the main street in Odessa.
