 Club Policies and Rider Checklist

Club Policies

  1. Effective 2021 Aug 24, all KVC events with any indoor components (dining, overnights, events in private homes, etc.) will require proof of double COVID vaccination.  Unscheduled gatherings after an event, are not the responsibility of KVC.
  2. Currently, only KVC members can ride with the Club due to COVID.  When guests are allowed to participate again, they will need to sign the Club's Waiver and Guest Form. 
  3. All participants must wear a helmet.
  4. Riders must have a white front light and a red rear light if they ride 1/2 hour before sunset and 1/2 hour after sunrise.
  5. Neither the Club, its Ride Leaders, nor its Executive, assumes any responsibility for participants lost, stranded or injured.
  6. All participants must follow the Highway Traffic Act and exhibit courteous road behaviour, otherwise, the participant will be asked to leave and or the ride/event will be discontinued.
  7. The club has a policy of “no drop rides” which means, no riders will be left behind to finish a ride on their own.
  8. Riders should know their cycling capabilities and be able to ride at the posted speed.

Rider Checklist

  1. All participants should have with them a spare tube, repair kit & pump.
  2. All participants should have sufficient hydration & nutrition for the ride.
  3. All participants should carry photo id with their address & their health card.
  4. All participants should carry their Emergency Contact Information.
  5. All members should update their Club Profile once a year including their Emergency Contact Information.
  6. In the event of an incident, the Club Accident Report Form must be completed. If unavailable, all details need to be reported to the Ride Leader.
