Who has the best ice cream? Perth or Smiths Falls? Come join us for a fabulous country ride that includes a 12 kilometer sample run down the Ottawa Valley Recreational Trail. Only have a road bike? Not to worry as this former railway bed is wide, flat and well-groomed with hard packed stone dust. We’ll travel well paved roads many with paved shoulders as well. Overall terrain is generally very flat and will not challenge anyone’s climbing ability. As for the ice cream: a mid-ride stop at the Pickled Pig in Smiths Falls capped off with a near end-of-ride visit to Peter’s Restaurant next to picturesque Stewart Park in Perth should help one decide which is best.
