Cyclist Killed on Bath Road

Published on 4/6/2019
KVC member Doug Kennedy is raising funds for Pancreatic Cancer by participating in the "7days in May" ride which circles Lake Ontario. Jeff only 42 at the time of his death was standing on the side of the road with group of cyclists when struck by a car. Doug and many other cyclists participated in a "Ride of Silence" from Amherstview to the accident site, where a Ghost Bike was established as a reminder of his senseless death.

Attachedt is a link to the 7 Days in May homepage. This link should open up with the tab to donate (located under the Contact Us function) already open and highlighted in purple. If you click on anything else (e.g. Ways To Give), the website takes you out of the 7 Days in May into the pancreatic cancer website. Which, unfortunately, looks exactly the same and is very confusing. But it will not allow you to donate to an individual cyclist, just to the cancer fund in general. So, with the 'DONATE' tab already open, you should just have to scroll down to 'FIND A CYCLIST' which opens in a new tab. In the 'Search for a Participant' you just need to type in Doug Kennedy. Unfortunately, there's a typo in the code that puts an 'a' in the first name search box, this needs to be erased before typing in the name. Once the name has been entered and searched, there is a green button that says 'DONATE NOW' located beside the cyclist in the search results. This will take you to a page where you can enter your donation on behalf of Doug.

Hope this helps. Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions.
