11th Annual Limestone Century Bicycle Tour!

The LCT is Sunday, September 10th and, as usual, there are three routes – 161 km, 100 km, and 40 km. This is a Kingston Velo Club calendar community event.

Challenge yourself on this non-competitive “classic century” bicycle tour through the quiet roads of Frontenac, Lennox & Addington and Prince Edward Counties. 100 mile route traverses the Canadian Shield, includes a ferry crossing, and follows the Lake Ontario shore on the return. Each of our 100 mile, 100 km and 40 km routes pass through picturesque and historic towns in Southeastern Ontario. Early registration ends August 18th. A portion of the proceeds go to support Cycle Kingston.

KVC Celebrates Canada’s Proud Heritage

This season, the Kingston Velo Club is offering a series of heritage rides in recognition of Canada’s 150th birthday. The Canadian Heritage Ride Series will feature one ride per month, from May to September. Each will offer stops at locations that hold some historical significance in the development of Kingston and Eastern Ontario. Riders can pick up a passport on any ride, and will receive a stamp for each ride completed. Those who complete a minimum of 3 rides will qualify for a special raffle prize. Check out the online calendar below for information on all the heritage rides.
