LOCKDOWN - GET OUT AND RIDE SERIES

The warm weather is back so don’t languish inside - get out and ride!  We have picked out some of our favourite routes and hope you will ride them over the next couple of weeks.

Smell The Lilacs  65km    This is one of our annual favourites.  The lilacs should be in full bloom in 10-14 days.   It starts in Camden East.   If you want something longer, RWGPS has several other Smell the Lilacs rides from which to choose

North Country Roads 46.5km    This ride starts at the Cataraqui Community Centre and takes you north through country roads.  A nice short route so half a day will do it.

KVC Ride Committee

KINGSTON VELO CLUB

The Kingston Velo Club is an energetic and supportive group of cyclists of varying ages, backgrounds, interests and abilities. The Club offers various rides of different distances, areas and social activities.

From shorter rides on local trails, road rides of longer distances, time trails to multi-day group touring and camping experiences, our members have much from which to choose. All rides are managed by trained Ride Leaders and Sweeps. Each ride begins with a review of any rules and a record of attendees. There is always help close if needed.

The enjoyment of the cycling experience is our primary goal. As well, KVC offers ride leader training, bike repair and maintenance sessions. We have a focus on safety and training and support continuous improvement as defined by each participant and mentor beginner and young cyclists.

The social aspect of KVC becomes more important each year. Our members enjoy the camaraderie and fun that brings everyone together. Social events include coffee breaks, lunches, pub gatherings, picnics, bbq’s, hiking, skating - the list goes on.

The Kingston Velo Club has over 200 active members and welcomes others to join our community of cyclists.
