Routes for Thumping Thursday


Tonight's route is Millhaven via Odessa. This is the last TT  ride for this season. For those interested and partners, let's get together at Raxx afterwards about 7pm for a drink and/or dinner.
Note lights are required to be on at least 30 mins before sunset. Sunset is at 6:54pm

  • rides start at Bayridge Secondary School on Taylor-Kidd
  • the B group will typically go at 25-29 km/h, with drafting
  • the A group goes at a faster pace
  • due to drafting, no e-bikes are permitted on this ride
  • rides may be cancelled up to 4 pm on the day due to weather, etc; please check the calendar for any updates before you set out to ride

Safety/Ride Preparation
  • Safety Matters Please familiarize yourself with everything under the "Safety Matters" tab 
  • Lights Always use front and rear lights with daytime flashing modes, but subdued when riders drafting behind
  • Group Riding Communicate your movements (including speed changes) and any obstacles
  • No Wheel Overlapping Just don't do it!
  • Passing Always on the left, and call it out (typically, “on your left”)  
  • Traffic Laws Obey them!
  • Things to Bring
    • cell phone (if available), with the app "what3words" installed
    • copy of the ride route (downloaded to a mobile device or printed)
    • spare tube, pump and tool kit
    • sufficient hydration and nutrition
    • health card and document showing address and emergency contact information
