The Plan A steady paced ride out to the Colonnade Golf Club (website) for a pick-me-up morning coffee! Feeling social when you get back to town? Hang around and chat for a bit at Springer Market Square.
Alternative Start Location Live in the east end and don't want to drive into town? Meet up with the group at the bottom of Abby Dawn Road around 8:25.
An Experiment If an early morning ride out to the east on one or more weekdays appeals to enough people, perhaps some version of this ride (e.g., Tuesday and Thursday, and perhaps an earlier start time during the heat of the summer) could become a regular Club offering? Comments are invited.
Safety/Ride Preparation
- Safety Matters Please familiarize yourself with everything under the "Safety Matters" tab
- Lights Always use front and rear lights with daytime flashing modes
- Group Riding Communicate your movements (including speed changes) and any obstacles
- No Wheel Overlapping Just don't do it!
- Passing Always on the left, and call it out (typically, “on your left”)
- Traffic Laws Obey them!

- cell phone (if available), with the app "what3words" installed
- copy of the ride route (downloaded to a mobile device or printed)
- spare tube, pump and tool kit
- sufficient hydration and nutrition
- health card and document showing address and emergency contact information
