About this event
RWGPS Route Links
Three Days at Mont Tremblant The leaves should be out in full colour during this event. The Mont Tremblant region is obviously hilly, so bring your end-of-season climbing legs with you. All the routes will be gravel.
- Tuesday Drive up in the morning to Lac-des-Plages where the first day's ride will start at 11 am. The drive is approximately 3.5 hours, so you'll need to be on the road by around 7 am. Continue on to Mont Tremblant after the ride, and check into the hotel.
- Wednesday The second day's ride will start at 9:30.
- Thursday The third day's ride will start at 9 am. We'll drive back to Kingston at the end of the ride.
Accommodation We'll be staying at the Microtel Inn & Suites just outside old St. Jovite, and about 10 km from Mont Tremblant Village. This option is a bit cheaper than the Village hotels, provides free parking, and has a 24 hour cancellation policy. Riders will be responsible for booking their own accommodation. I have not reserved a block of rooms. Thus, if you think that you are likely to attend, I strongly recommend that you make your reservation early. See below for more comments regarding cancelling or rescheduling.
Meals The hotel cost includes breakfasts. We'll likely head up to the Village for group dinners, and a bit of strolling.
The Weather and Cancelling or Rescheduling The weather in mid October should hopefully be just fine, but if the week before I see some nasty weather on the horizon I will consider cancelling or rescheduling. As noted above, the hotel cancellation policy is 24 hours. However, I will try to make any cancellation or rescheduling decision several days before the event.
