About this event
Fall Night Ride on the K & P in the Dark !
Come experience the K & P Trail in a whole new way!
Meeting at the Invista Centre at 6:30 pm to ride up the K & P Trail to Sydenham Beach and return ~ 52km
Lights are mandatory (minimum output 400 Lumens)
Remember to charge up your lights the day before!
B/C category ride, with some flexibility depending on how the group feels.
Clear Safety Glasses Recommended!
Dress accordingly. It will be cooler on the return from Sydenham.
Riders are expected to bring liquid and food supplies they will need for the ride.
Safety/Ride Preparation
- Safety Matters Please familiarize yourself with everything under the "Safety Matters" tab
- Lights Always use front and rear lights. Mandatory for this ride.
- Group Riding Communicate your movements (including speed changes) and any obstacles
- No Wheel Overlapping Just don't do it!
- Passing Always on the left, and call it out (typically, “on your left”)
- Traffic Laws Obey them!
- Things to Bring
- cell phone (if available), with the app "what3words" installed
- copy of the ride route (downloaded to a mobile device or printed)
- spare tube, pump and tool kit
- sufficient hydration and nutrition
- health card and document showing address and emergency contact information
