About Algonquin Provincial Park
Established in 1893, Algonquin is the country's oldest and most popular provincial park, home to over 2,400 lakes. Its name honors the Algonquin people, the Indigenous inhabitants of the area. Get ready to experience this vast, beautiful natural reserve firsthand!

Itinerary
- Day 1 - Wednesday Arrive, check into the campground, set up tents, and get acquainted with our site at Rock Lake Campground.
- Day 2 - Thursday New arrivals check-in. Those who arrived Wednesday will spend the morning hiking the beautiful Track and Tower Trail (estimated time: 2.5-3 hours).
- Day 3 - Friday We will begin our ride on the Old Railway Bike Trail making our way to HWY 60 where we will visit the Algonquin Park Visitor Centre. We will then proceed on HWY 60 to the Algonquin Loggin Museum where we take time to visit before we return to our campsite.
- Day 4 - Saturday Begin our ride around 10:00 AM, heading west down Highway 60. We’ll arrive at the Portage Store for lunch at 12:00 PM and enjoy the stunning lakeside views.
- Day 5 - Sunday Like all great getaways, the adventure has come to a end as we pack up and head back to our homes.
Accommodation & Registration
We will be staying at Rock Lake Campground, located 8 km south of km 40.3 of Highway 60 on the Rock Lake Road (gravel).
Registration Deadline: March 1st
- Sites are difficult to book, so a timely registration is essential. I will book the sites shortly after this deadline based on the number of people registered.
- Each campsite allows for 3 tents with a maximum of 9 people.
- Private Site: If you wish to have a dedicated site just for your party, please let me know before the March 1st deadline.
