About this event
The Routes We're heading up to Tamworth this week. Similar to last week, the route travels through two geographies. The first part is lovely rolling farmland. The second part goes into the shield. We'll cycle up the always fun California Road, return back down Mountain Road, and finish on a lovely unnamed rolly-polly stretch.
Pace We do not ride at a target pace. We ride in one or more groups at a pace that allows us to enjoy each other's company, appreciate the scenery, and get in some solid exercise.
Car Pooling Please consider!
After Ride Refreshments We'll head into the very friendly Blue Door Bakery & Cafe. What's on the menu - "Wednesdays call for comfort, and we’ve got plenty of it. From flaky pastries to cozy lunch features, this is the day to settle in, sip slow, and enjoy the familiar hum of Tamworth life, one bite at a time".
Safety/Ride Preparation
- Safety Matters Please familiarize yourself with everything under the "Safety Matters" tab
- Lights Always use front and rear lights with daytime flashing modes
- Group Riding Communicate your movements (including speed changes) and any obstacles
- No Wheel Overlapping Just don't do it!
- Passing Always on the left/outside, and call it out (typically, “on your left”)
- Traffic Laws Obey them!

- cell phone (if available), with the app "what3words" installed
- copy of the ride route (downloaded to a mobile device or printed)
- spare tube, pump and tool kit
- sufficient hydration and nutrition
- health card and document showing address and emergency contact information
