Gravel Riding
If you have a bike that you would like to ride on gravel roads, paths, trails then gravel riding is for you.
Rides (defined as a singe day event)
KVC offers a variety of rides. Please identify which are most appealing to you.
for those who cannot ride during the day, rides that occur during the early evening hours.

For those who prefer weekend rides. KVC offers a variety of rides of varying distances and paces.

Are you interest weekday rides, morning and or afternoon. We currnent offer a leisurely paced Wednedsday morning ride and a moderately paced Friday morning ride.

The KVC road rides usually begin on the outskirts of Kingston and follow rural roads. Several categories of rides are available depending on distance, terrain, speed etc. Some remote starts to interesting destinations are also available.

We include in this category two wonderful resources in the Kingston area, the K&P Trail, the Cataraqui Trail, and the Thousand Island Parkway. all are highy recommended . The latter is paved its entire length and parts of the K& P near Kingston Center are paved as well.

There has been an interest of possible doing a day out or a two-day ride at the same time do a tally of birds.
Ride to Wolfe, Amherst and Howe Islands.
Tours (defined as multi-day events)
Touring is a predominate activity of this club. We offer weekend tours to nearby destinations and a weeklong to destinations further afield.
Time to get away to warmer weather.
Tours to nearby destinations, one or two nights, with multi level rides and social evenings together as a group.

A hallmark of our club, a tour by bike and camping equipment in Late July, early August. Its a vacation by bike.

While not currently offered by the club, a weeklong tour for those not wishing to camp, but enjoy more traditional comforts. Express your interest and we will organise!

Skills and Health Improvement
Overall improvement of the mind, body and skills leading to a healthier lifestyle, while using your bike.
for the first time, we are offering an on bike skills training sessions, called the "Ride and Smile" series. Express your interest here for this typ of training and sign up un the ride page.

If you have not participated in group riding before, we can help you become comfortable, by talking to you about speed, spacing, ediquette, signals, etc. Please express your interest here and identify to your ride leader.

From time to time we offer Yoga for Cyclists, in conjunction with a local Yoga Studio. We can orgaise if sufficient interest shown.
