RWGPS Thumping Thursday Routes

This Thursday's route is TTTR 50.5K (North)
Sunset is at 7:31pm. Lights are required 1/2 hour before sunset

The Thumping Thursdays Program

  • the B group will typically go at 25-29 km/h, with drafting to improve cycling ability and conditioning
  • normally there will also be an A group going at a faster pace
  • the rides go through quiet country roads to the west and north of Kingston
  • due to drafting, no e-bikes are permitted on this ride
  • rides may be cancelled up to 4:30 pm on the day due to weather, etc; please check the calendar before you set out to ride
  • routes will normally be chosen sequentially from the "RWGPS Thumping Thursday Routes"

Pace Choice When registering, be sure to indicate your preferred pace. If you wish to change your pace group, just inform the ride leader before the start of the ride.


Ride Preparation You should be familiar with Ontario's Safe Cycling Guidelines, and bring the following with you on the ride: 

  • a cell phone, with the app "what3words" installed
  • a copy of the ride route (downloaded to a mobile device or printed)
  • a spare tube, pump and repair kit
  • sufficient hydration and nutrition
  • health card
  • document showing address and emergency contact information
