About this event
This week we will ride from the Cole Lake K&P parking lot to Sharbot Lake a distance of 50 km return. There we will enjoy lunch followed by a potential swim at Sharbot Lake Beach. The ride can be expected to last around 4 hours. Those seeking a greater challenge could depart from Verona (72 km) or from Harrowsmith, a Metric Century, meeting us at 1000hrs. Cole Lake Parking Lot is located on the left 13.5 km N of the Verona K&P Parking Lot or 44 582N 76 654W. Participants should allocate 45 min from Kingston to reach Cole Lake. Although a greater distance than normal this ride remains a Slow as Molasses ride with its slower D pace. Hope to see you out for the day with us!
A leisurely weekly ride of 20 to 30km (group consensus) with a coffee/ice cream break in the middle. This ride is ideal for those new to cycling or those getting back in the saddle after a few years away. All rides will be on either on the K&P or Cataraqui Trail. We will never ride on the road. Pace will be 10 to 15 km/hour and each week we will depart from a different trail parking lot. Junior participants are warmly welcomed and encouraged to ride along. See you then!
