About this event
This week we will ride E along the Cataraqui Trail to Opinicon for an ice cream and return, a distance of some 40km. Departure will be at 1000hrs from the Cat Trail Parking lot, one km north of Perth Road Village on the left. The parking lot is 24 km from the 401, 44 deg 473236N 76 deg 490765E. An invitation to ride with us has been extended to the Rideau Trail Association (as guests). Please note that 3km of the ride will be on the Chaffeys Lock road for the return leg.
A leisurely weekly ride of 20 to 30km (group consensus) with a coffee/ice cream break in the middle. This ride is ideal for those new to cycling or those getting back in the saddle after a few years away. All rides will be on either on the K&P or Cataraqui Trail. We will never ride on the road. Pace will be 10 to 15 km/hour and each week we will depart from a different trail parking lot. Junior participants are warmly welcomed and encouraged to ride along. See you then!
